As he prepares to shine the light on his forthcoming sophomore album, Trevy James revisits roots reggae for his latest teaser, ‘Never Give In‘. Having already made waves with a string of singles so far this year, Trevy gears up to highlight his vast creative sensibilities.

Having leant into an otherwise bluesy, soulful sound on singles ‘(Let Me Tell You ‘Bout) What I See’, Trevy is back with a groove-laden, reggae energy as he steps back into the limelight. Bringing a positive, uplifting message to the table, ‘Never Give In’ sees classic reggae rhythms reinforced with choppy guitar chords, alongside his strong spirit and passion for the sound. Taking cues from the likes of Protoje and Collie Buddz, the sheer energy embedded within the single is enough to make James stand out as a true master-in-the-making.

Speaking on the single, he explains, “‘Never Give In’ represents a personal mantra in song form. A perpetual reminder to both myself and everyone listening to always stand firm in your truth, authenticity, and purpose, no matter how hard the world around you says otherwise. This one is for anyone who has ever felt doubted, underestimated, or counted out. Never give in, never surrender, and always stay aligned with your truth!”
