Thomas Heppell tells his story through self-titled album

Debuting with his EP, ‘Be My Home’, Thomas Heppell instantly saw praise from the likes of Jazz FM and Blues Radio UK, as well as nominations at 2023’s UK Blues Awards. Aside from his recorded accolades, Heppell has also made a splash on the live scene, both solo and alongside his band. Whether Jack Bryant on drums and Howard Head on bass or not, Thomas commands the stage with his driving rhythms and dynamic performances, seeing him grace the stages of The Tuesday Night Club, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Swanage Blues Festival and Weyfest.

After teasing audiences with singles for ‘Hey Victoria’ and ‘Underdog’, Thomas Heppell has now released his anticipated self-titled album. The LP tells the stories of his life, showing both vulnerability and a natural storyteller's ability across the 11 tracks. Modernising the classic sounds of blues, country, jazz and folk, Heppell’s guitar and vocals ignite the atmosphere, whether that’s through the soft emotional moments or the fiery energised ones.

Thomas adds, "The album is about the blues at its core, with bits going out into different genres, such as country, rock and jazz. The songs go from situations about love to painful lows, with the intention of connecting to the listener and healing inside of them. These are the stories of Thomas Heppell".
