Sofia Zadar drops new single "Nostos"

Queer musician Maria Sgarcitu is the mastermind behind Sofia Zadar. Their music aims to unite and engage marginalised communities, and lyrically explores posthumanist and utopian visions through a trauma-informed lens. Zadar's music is refreshingly unique, and pays homage to many different genres and musical inspirations.

They've just released their latest single "Nostos" - and we're super excited about it. Featuring an immersive instrumental and infectious vocal lines the track will be sure to pick you up and leave you wanting more. Showcasing vulnerability, the track aims to inspire others to open up and talk about issues.

Speaking about the single, Sofia says: “Nostos is my love letter to care and presence through hardship. I believe our capacity to thrive and be resilient is tightly knit to the nurture we receive from ourselves and our communities. Nostos is homecoming, a return to solace, but also opens up the question of how to stay with the trouble and show up when distress overwhelms.”
