Mark Vennis & Different Place release pounding new anthem 'The Beating of The Drum'

Returning to the limelight, Mark Vennis & Different Place are back as they unveil their latest single, 'The Beating of The Drum'. The release sees Vennis shine with a pounding backbeat, coupling jagged guitars with a wild, new wave edge. Leaning into the nostalgia of the likes of The Stranglers and The Jam, the release doesn't come without a wild contemporary stamp, giving the band their trademark 'Different Place' feel.

Diving in, he explains, “The Beating of the Drum is the first song from the album ‘Goodbye To All That’, about the relentless push to divide us, fall behind the flag, and get us to march blindly into wars. In a world that is becoming more and more dominated by nationalism and nativism, we are always the ones who pay.”
