Siena Liggins has released her long awaited album ‘FLOOZY’. Liggins is an artist that has climbed the ranks and become one of the top rising stars in the LGBTQ+ and new global music scene. This project was preceded by the highly acclaimed singles "3 BAD," "SNEAKY LINKS (with MK xyz)," and "RENT FREE”, adding eight tracks to the roster including the lead track "W.U.S.S (why you so scared)" ft. whiterosemoxie.
Siena remains unapologetic and unfiltered throughout the project, embracing energetic, heavily processed electronic influences, blending dance, pop, hip-hop and RnB to create a sound that we simply haven’t heard before. The artist is effortlessly creative throughout, with her vocal performances taking on a wide range of styles, nailing every single one without strain.
On the album, Siena shares: “‘FLOOZY’ is a bona fide, candid arrangement of expressions that represent my casually overindulgent, sensually dizzying, and conveniently visceral response to an era of heartbreak on loop. I want to deliver something aggressive through codified playfulness and exaggerated simplicity of ear worms that berate you with love, pain, desire, and interdependence. The process of creating “FLOOZY” was a regenerative out-with-the-old-and-in-with (so much) new energy when I had so little to spare. It forced me to cope by weaving through unearthed affections. and on the other side I animated those feelings into a series of undeniable bops centered on gratifying myself. The blend of sonic tropes is an ode to pop, hip-hop, dance, and R&B music inspired by Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Nashville. The LP can be enjoyed in under twenty-five minutes, but it’d be no surprise to me if you found yourself back in the loop unapologetically & skipping crucial steps to healthy coping. Welcome to my world, your floozy era. it’s a pleasure to be here with you.”
Siena’s trailblazing is impossible to ignore, as she shared the stage with the likes of Lizzo, Doja Cat and Baby Tate, as well as gaining support from Spotify editorials New Music Friday, Fresh Finds, BBE, SALT and lots of industry acclaim. If you don’t know her, get to know her, as this is a name we’ll be seeing more and more as she cements her place as a pioneer of music.
