Mario wows the Cluny, bringing Barcelona to Newcastle

MSB Mario entered the stage at the Cluny in Newcastle on the 4th of June 2026, later than expected. Without communication and with heightened anticipation, Mario arrived late to stage. Emerging alone with his unique brand of Spanish-inspired visuals, with just an acoustic position to one side of the stage, as well as a small electronic set-up of trigger pads with accompanying laptop, MSB Mario wowed crowds.

Performing songs like Karmen, Robbow and Estankera de Vallekas, this set to a UK audience could have gone down with difficulty, but that was not the case. The venue reacted positively with its mix of standing and seated audience layout, which made for an intimate affair. Utilising samples, electronic pads, and producing a set of immersive, atmospheric, and true emotional resonance. This rhythm-driven performance with the odd change of pace through tracks like Acuérdate brought the room to stillness as well as an upbeat atmosphere.

Closing the set with Suave in a stripped-back arrangement. We highly anticipate Mario's next performance in Brighton later on this month. Mario's set is ambitious, intriguing, and unpredictable, and we can't wait to hear what he has coming next this year.

Check Maria out in Brighton on June 27th, ticket link below:
