Ellen Woloshin gifts the beautiful new album ‘Pop Torch’

Ellen Woloshin has spent multiple decades refining a love-drenched vocal ability that has the ability to transform any genre into a timeless jazz-influenced journey. The artist takes on this challenge once again with her latest album ‘Pop Torch’, taking jazz standards, country icons and original music into the realm of contemporary pop with a nostalgic embrace.

Performing over a live band, Ellen crafts a constant sense of humanity and authenticity, connecting to her lyrics and to the band in a way so natural yet so rare. Across nine tracks, Ellen shares the perfect album to take you through an evening of romance, emotion and just a little bit of dancing.

Ellen explains further, sharing, ”If you take a bunch of disparate beads and string them together to make a necklace, what would the finished product look like? That’s the concept behind this album. I took songs from various genres and decades, some of my own, some by others, with the hope that in the end, that necklace would come together as a unique statement of its own. I hope you enjoy the result!”

After a career started in the family business of jingle writing, Ellen’s career as a songwriter and performer started as one half of the duo Woloshin & Griffin. Striking out on her own with solo music after, Ellen showed her ability to flourish in both performance categories, taking the lead with her albums as the centrepiece of each project. Performing across the US, appearing on UK radio and writing for industry royalty, Ellen has truly cemented herself as an international talent.
