Chrystal Rose shows off new single 'Independent'

Chrystal Rose has dropped ‘Independent’. Independent in name and independent in nature, the track is part of a broader campaign to help Rose fund her upcoming third film venture, Fifty Faking Fabulous. Its ’90s R&B leanings are tinged with contemporary pop, and its lyrics are rooted in confidence and self-determination.

Plucky instrumentation and dance-infused vocal layers have smooth stylings and glistening production. The track also features Phoebe One.

Chrystal explains, "I wanted to salute all women and encourage those who aren't, to become decision makers, feeling free to be confident enough to set their own boundaries, excel in their chosen fields, become financially autonomous, aspiring to believe and achieve - that's being independent!"

Set to feature in the upcoming romantic comedy, it comes as part of a creative career spanning television, literature, film, fashion and live events. Chrystal was also the first woman in the UK to front a self-titled talk show. Incorporating music with decades of experience, Chrystal Rose brings resilience to a campaign of empowerment.
