Award-winning singer-songwriter Jerry Jean is back with his glowing new album For You, For Always.
The Taiwanese-American artist, based in New York City, has made a name for blending soul, classic pop, and earnest songwriting, all of which unfold expressively in this eleven-track release, which features collaborations with multi-GRAMMY winner Nicole Zuraitis, Chloé Hogan, and Elia Esparza. With vibrant and energetic anthems like Keep Breathing and Lean In as well as emotionally resonant ballads like September Sky and his latest single, A Home Here, For You, For Always is an expansive and intimate work.
Discussing the album, Jerry explains:
“For You, For Always spans a decade of songwriting and recording during the years my wife and I began raising a family in NYC. It took that long for these songs to come together without compromise in either the music or our lives. This album is a love letter to family and to listeners alike, and it completes a duology with my 2017 LP, Do We Reach Home. That record explored searching, striving, and navigating through a chaotic world, while For You, For Always is about anchoring into the present moment, letting go of the chase, and arriving home. It's a companion album sequenced intentionally after releasing the songs individually over the years, and it truly encapsulates the record I’ve long wanted to make along with the ethos I’ve tried to live by. Keeping things organic, I’ve used zero AI in any of the songs, videos, or images across my entire body of work. It may be harder for artists to do that going forward as AI becomes embedded everywhere. If For You, For Always is my final album, I think I'm at peace.”
The accomplished singer, pianist and violinist, with performances at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, MTV Unplugged and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jerry Jean has built quite a reputation, sharing stages with artists like Florence + The Machine and Boyz II Men. For You, For Always serves as an authentic lookbook, chronicling years of lived experience, patient work, and soulfully crafted songs.
