Samskara Rad shares the euphoric single ‘Only Fan’

Blending nostalgia and a sense of future, Samskara Rad’s utopian latest single ‘Only Fan’ is drenched in a dreamy haze and vibrant colour. The sense of romance in the track is palatable, with Samskara leaving his charming personality open to all. The sound feels euphoric, with each synth somehow balancing a deep warmth and vivid brightness, making for an easy-going but alluring listen.

Samskara Rad adds, “A dreamy lullaby bubblegum version of Biggest Fan. For me, it’s hard to do slower-paced songs, as I’m always in the minute and driven by energy. So, writing Only Fan taught me how to create emptiness and space in a song and still be energetic, but with a different emotional vibe.”

Simon Marroco, a passionate musician, is the man behind Samskara Rad. First performing as part of Melbourne-signed prog-punk band The Mood in the early 80s, it was after that band parted ways, and a 25-year hiatus as a successful yoga teacher at St.Kilda Yoga School, that Simon returned to music. Now emerging under the magnetising hip-hop moniker of Samskara Rad, Simon is making a new impact in the industry.
