Madanes boasts a unique musical voice, influenced by the likes of Elton John, Ian Dury and Frank Zappa. His love affair with music began at twelve but evolved into a nineteen-year DJ career, including three as a military DJ. Despite minimal formal training, Madanes has absorbed music into his very essence, listening to 50-100 new songs weekly throughout his life. Emerging from the fringe with unapologetic lyricism, he released four Hebrew albums before transitioning to English in the hopes of connecting with a wider audience. A lost soul finely tuned, Madanes awaits the one who will inspire his next sad melody.

Whimsical and charming, Madanes' latest single is 'In love with Laura Ingraham [what's wrong with me]', balancing the joyful feelings of love with the conflict of not being able to choose who those feelings are for, Madanes steadily builds the track around easy-going acoustic guitar and interesting percussion. The track then jumps into a grittier distorted anthem, with a huge fuzzy taking hold of the track alongside the cheeky vocals. The final section feels momentous as every interesting sound falls into one another for a final shout into the mix. Underneath a guise of cheerful wisecracks, Madanes creates an anthemic singalong, filled with real emotions and thoughtful themes.

Madanes adds, ”Love has no rules and logic... that is the tragic magic. We can't decide with whom to fall in love. Love allows us to erase prejudices and see the person and not just his opinions.”
