Contemporary Club make a heavy debut with ‘Belong’

Opening their careers in the music with a powerful chord strike, Contemporary Club have released their debut single ‘Belong’, drenching it in rock and roll nostalgia. Bringing that all-important indie UK grit to their performance, the band delivered a raw and unfiltered first outing. Leaning heavily into their electric guitar talents, the band bring dynamic riffs, exuberant licks and a rhythmic fury. Old-school in all the best ways, and rocketing the sensibilities into 2024 as hard and fast as they can manage, the small punches of thriving guitar solos are key to their success, as well as an unstoppable, catchy, energetic atmosphere.

Contemporary Club shares, ”Belong was written, recorded and produced entirely by ourselves at home. We wrote the song about cherishing being a teenager and having fun with friends and other halves, as well as feeling at home in the town we grew up in.”*

Making their debut from South London, Contemporary Club are a fresh new four-piece that formed after meeting in college, their shared love of shoegaze, Britpop and indie cementing the idea of starting a band. With more music on the horizon, ‘Belong’ is the start, but certainly not the finish.
